George Fearon - Guitars

 

“Check out Guitar George, he knows all the chords” – but he’s not “strictly rhythm” and he can “make it cry and sing!” (or slide).

George currently uses 3 guitars on stage – 2 Fender Strats (1978 and 1986), and Mexican Fender Telecaster, with Les Paul Humbucker pickups.

He also has a further 2 Telecasters.  His bigger, beefier Marshall amp has been sidelined “’cos it was blowing people away!”

He now uses a 1970s 2 x 12 Marshall 50 valve amp, with that fat guitar blues sound-to-die for achieved through 2 pedals – Ibanez analogue delay, and a Boss BD2 blues driver.

When he’s not sliding and a-bluesing for the Alligators, George also plays in a scratch band called Tourettes, duos with Billy Elliott (not the dancer!),and also jams with Ned from Scandalous Bachelors.
