Martin Bland - Vocals and Bass

Well respected and much travelled, Martin brings a wealth of experience to The Alligators.  He's no stranger to the band, having worked with both Robert and Dod in Animals II.  Other bands also include Eric Bell's Thin Lizzy, Lucas Tyson, Warbeck and Beckett.
In addition to performing with the Alligators, Martin is also bass player with  well known international band, UK Legends, performing with musicians from classic bands Denny Laine's Wings, Smokie, The Move and The Animals.
Martin has 2 Music Man bass guitars, but usually uses a Yamaha 5 string for Alligator gigs. (That top string bottom B makes all the difference!)
Current amp is Ampeg SVT3 Pro, with an Ampeg 8 x 10 cabinet, but he also has an Ashdown 4 x 10 for smaller gigs.

You'll always see Martin smiling and enjoying himself at gigs - when asked he said " I just love being up there - its great working again with the lads!"
